Filming begins for 'Reconciliation on Bay St.'

Filming for our first film, Reconciliation on Bay St., featuring David Sharpe began this month with a trip out west to First Nations University of Canada (FNUniv). We interviewed Sharpe, who is also Chair of the FNUniv Board of Governors, within the main campus building of FNUniv designed by celebrated Anishinaabe architect Douglas Cardinal.

This block of filming has for a purpose to demonstrate David’s connection to his culture and respect for ceremony. With the permission of the Elder’s we also filmed David at a smudge ceremony and their annual Pow Wow, the largest in the country.
